Hanahau‘oli School seeks an experienced progressive educator to join the Po‘e Ka‘ahele (4th & 5th grade) teaching team, responsible for the supervision and education of fourth and fifth-grade students. The full-time, team teacher position reports to and is evaluated by the Director of Faculty & Curriculum, Upper Elementary.

Candidates must present a strong orientation to progressive philosophy and teaching methods and possess extensive knowledge of upper elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment. The candidate will be expected to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate 4th/5th-grade program along with teammates designed to promote social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and self-efficacy growth in children. In addition, candidates are expected to communicate in a professional manner with Hanahau‘oli constituents, demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, support the school in its mission and beliefs, and contribute to the joyful work of the school community.
