Parish Music Coordinator, St Ann Catholic Church, Kaneohe

Position Summary: St. Ann Catholic Church in Kaneohe is seeking a faith-filled and talented Music Coordinator to lead and grow our Parish’s music ministry. This part-time position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing music for all liturgical celebrations, while upholding the sacred musical traditions of the Catholic Church.

Key Responsibilities:

Liturgical Music Leadership

· Plan and lead music for all weekend Masses, holy days, weddings, funerals, confirmations, and parish celebrations.

· Ensure musicians and cantors are scheduled for each liturgy with the assistance of volunteers.

· Collaborate with the Pastor and the Music Ministry team to enhance parish worship.

· Direct and accompany choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists.

Choir and Music Ministry Development

· Recruit, train, and direct choir members and musicians.

· Lead regular rehearsals for choirs and cantors.

· Maintain parish musical instruments, sound equipment, and music resources.

· Coordinate with parish ministries and volunteers for special events.

Collaboration & Communication

· Work closely with clergy, parish staff, and the liturgy committee.

· Support and encourage parishioner participation in music ministry.

Qualifications:

· A Practicing Catholic with some knowledge of Catholic liturgy and music.

· Bachelor’s degree in music, liturgy, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Proficient in piano, organ, and other accompanying instruments.

· Experience in Choral direction and Vocal Coaching.

· Familiar with both traditional and contemporary Catholic music.

· Strong organizational and leadership skills.

· 3–5 years of experience in music ministry or a related role.
