Responsibilities: - Be the friendly face that greets and assists customers with their lumber and building material needs - Become a pro at using our Lightspeed POS system to process sales - Keep our lumber yard looking sharp, organized, and safe - Help customers load their purchases - Accept and process donations of lumber and building materials - Operate forklifts and other equipment (training and certification provided) - Work closely with our Redistribution Center staff and truckers - Take good care of our tools and equipment
Requirements: - 3 solid professional references - Willingness to learn how to operate a pallet jack and forklift - Friendly attitude and excellent customer service skills - Ability to multitask and switch gears quickly - Keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety - Punctuality and reliability - Passion for our mission of sustainability and reuse - Familiarity with building materials and their uses - Proficiency with hand and power tools
This position pays $17/hour to start and offers health insurance, paid time off, and even a $200 material credit at Re-use Hawaiʻi (plus an employee discount!). We've also got a retirement plan and a work boot stipend to keep you comfy on the job.
