Resource Teacher - Instructional Coach
MISSION OF THE ROLE: The Resource Teacher - Instructional Coach collaborates with classroom teachers to enhance instructional practices, promote effective teaching strategies, and support student learning through professional development and coaching. This role maintains alignment with the school's vision, mission, and educational philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Valid teaching license/certification
Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience
Demonstrated expertise in instructional practices
Desired:
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field
Previous coaching or mentoring experience
Experience with professional development delivery
ROLE OBJECTIVES + RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Support
Collaborate with teachers to implement effective teaching practices and strategies
Provide ongoing support for teacher professional growth and classroom innovations
Regularly attend meetings to provide feedback, support, and resources
Model lessons in classrooms and provide coaching through observation and co-teaching
Assist teachers with instructional planning and best practices to meet diverse student needs
Participate in and contribute to the Learning Leadership Team
Professional Development and Coaching
Plan and deliver ongoing professional development aligned with educational priorities
Provide expert peer coaching using techniques including modeling, co-teaching, and mentoring
Support teachers in understanding effective instructional frameworks and practices
Develop individualized coaching plans to ensure student achievement and teacher growth
Foster a collaborative learning culture among faculty
Assessment and Data Support
Support teachers in collecting and analyzing student performance data
Work with teaching teams to use data to inform instructional decisions and interventions
Assist teachers in implementing assessment strategies
Support progress monitoring initiatives
Participate in and contribute to WEPCS Data Team
Research and Development
Research current best practices and emerging educational strategies
Support long and short-term planning for professional development
Work collaboratively with teachers to explore new instructional approaches
Provide guidance for implementing evidence-based practices
Relationship Building and Support
Build strong professional relationships with teachers, administrators, and support staff
Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, and information to support classroom instruction
Provide classroom visitation and feedback for teacher professional growth
Support new teacher orientation and ongoing mentorship
