Grounds Maintenance is responsible for the outdoor settings of the church grounds where they maintain the health and appearance of the landscape of the church, so it is conducive and auspicious place of worship.

Scope of Work

· Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned.

· Removes unsightly trash and debris from public areas by regularly inspecting grounds.

· Empties trash and recycling containers.

· Trims bushes, shrubs, and hedges.

· Prepares soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs.

Duties may include facility set-up, hauling and moving of furniture & equipment, Christmas decorations and other furnishings that may be required to be moved as needed.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older • Strong knowledge of procedures, practices, tools and equipment used • Valid driver’s license

Physical & Environmental Job Requirements

• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items

(Frequently requires the ability to lift and move heavy and bulky items without

assistance) • May work with hazardous materials, areas can be dusty • May work with machines, vehicles, and tools that may cause serious bodily harm

Part Time, 2 days a week, 3 hours per day
