
Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring and dependable Bereavement Services Assistant to support our team in providing meaningful and respectful end-of-life ceremonies, including funerals, memorials, and celebrations of life. This role is vital in helping grieving families and guests feel supported, while ensuring services run smoothly and with dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation, setup, and coordination of services and ceremonies
Greet and guide families and guests with compassion and professionalism
Support families before, during, and after services in a respectful and calming manner
Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized environment at all service locations
Manage floral arrangements, service materials, and guest logistics
Assist with transportation or administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Empathetic nature and a strong sense of discretion and professionalism
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm, composed, and supportive in emotional environments
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
Valid driver’s license preferred
Prior experience in customer service, events, or caregiving is a plus
Schedule:
Flexible schedule required, including availability for evenings and weekends based on service needs.
