Job Title: Front Desk Lead
Location: Waikiki Beachside Hostel – Honolulu, HI

Waikiki Beachside Hostel is seeking a dependable and hands-on Front Desk Lead to oversee front desk operations and ensure a welcoming experience for every guest. This role combines guest service, staff supervision, and operational oversight, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Front Desk Operations & Guest Services

• Manage day-to-day front desk activities, including check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.

• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism.

• Monitor booking accuracy, overbookings, and special requests in Cloudbeds.

Staff Leadership & Scheduling

• Supervise, train, and mentor front desk staff.

• Create and adjust weekly schedules based on occupancy needs.

• Approve shift swaps, manage call-outs, and provide coverage when necessary.

Administrative & Policy Support

• Audit folios for billing accuracy and proper documentation.

• Enforce hostel policies, safety procedures, and code of conduct.

• Assist with onboarding and training new hires.

Collaboration & Communication

• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready.

• Prepare reports on guest feedback, performance, and operations.

• Partner with management to maintain high service standards.

• 2+ years of hospitality or customer service experience (supervisory experience preferred).

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with staff scheduling and handling staffing gaps.

• Familiarity with Cloudbeds or similar PMS (training provided if needed).

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
