PE Teacher

The Physical Education (PE) program at Hanahau‘oli School is fundamental to the school’s mission, emphasizing the holistic development of the child. The PE program is designed to provide children with all abilities and interests with a foundation of movement experiences that support living an active and healthy lifestyle. The goal is to introduce students through age-appropriate motor skill development, understanding movement patterns, regular participation in physical activities, and fitness knowledge to build life-long habits to be physically literate and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Aligning with Hanahau‘oli’s progressive philosophy, the PE program is grounded in movement education, guided discovery, and experiential learning, focusing on the process of learning "through doing" ("joyous work") when encountering and mastering new and diverse challenges.
