Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture a team of dedicated foster caregivers and program volunteers - Conduct all pre-pickup interviews for foster parents to ensure they are a good fit for the animal in need - Maintain day-to-day relations and communications with fosters - Provide ongoing support and guidance to fosters - Coordinate with veterinary services, transfer, adoptions and behavior to meet the organization's foster placement needs - Maintain educational and support materials for internal and external use - Organize and facilitate support groups and educational workshops for foster families - Assist in the development and implementation of foster care policies and procedures - Create monthly newsletter with foster care stories or needs
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a professional setting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment - Computer expertise in Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to understand date reporting and analyzing data - Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and holidays based on operational needs
