Warehouse Operator & Delivery Driver

Role Objective:

Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely handling of all warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and delivery preparation, while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Support overall warehouse performance by fostering strong communication, teamwork, and professionalism.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Fulfill orders by pulling product for daily deliveries, will calls, and outgoing shipments.
  • Monitor orders once filled, finalizing completeness, and ensuring accuracy of orders with one other employee or supervisor.
  • Accurately and efficiently receive and stock products in the warehouse by utilizing lift truck or other equipment.
  • Create delivery route manifest and schedule using route tracking software.
  • Manage inventory in the warehouse. Rotate and restock as needed.
  • Submit requests for warehouse/cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all warehouse functions are performed on an accurate and timely basis.
  • Utilize the company platform (Slack) to allow for efficient communication and workflow.
  • Monitor and promptly respond to Slack, email, phone, etc. 
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Assist walk-in customers in house with orders.
  • Follow all safety requirements.
  • Complete training of warehouse personnel (training checklist, etc.)
  • Maintain warehouse, equipment, and company truck and keep them clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Report any repair or maintenance issues promptly to your supervisor.
  • Complete and pass forklift training certification.
  • Responsible for scheduled maintenance of the following
    • Plumbing
    • Pest Control
  • Assist with scheduled inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist with product transfers to/from Hilo.
  • Communicate and include management in all warehouse operations, including but not limited to:
    • Incoming/outgoing containers and shipments
    • Delivery route issues/updates
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with special projects or overflow tasks as needed.
  • Support cross-functional departments such as sales or customer service by providing inventory insights.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve warehouse operations and efficiency.
  • Provide feedback on logistics workflows or supply shortages to management.
  • Serve as a backup for delivery drivers or administrative support, when applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic proficiency with computer systems (e.g., inventory software, email, Slack).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Knowledge of sustainable products or experience in eco-conscious businesses.
  • Delivery / driving experience.
