Service Plumber

At Maui Plumbing Inc., our Service Plumbers do more than fix problems, they represent the standard of our trade.


The primary responsibility of the Service Plumber is to respond to service calls, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently and professionally. This role requires strong technical ability, clear communication, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.


This position includes participation in a rotating, after-hours on-call schedule and may involve mentoring apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service and repair of faucets, toilets, valves, waterlines, and waste lines
  • Clear drain lines using cable machines and hydro-jetters
  • Conduct CCTV inspections and locate waste lines
  • Perform repiping and replacement of water and waste systems
  • Install and repair electric, solar, gas, and tankless water heaters
  • Deliver customer service that sets the standard for the industry — not just meets it
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites in alignment with MPI standards
  • Support and mentor apprentices through hands-on training and example
  • Participate in ongoing training and development

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience
  • Must own and be proficient with hand tools and cordless power tools
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation
  • Basic mathematics skills

Licensure/Certifications

  • Valid State of Hawaii driver license and clean abstract
  • State of Hawaii Journeyman Plumber License, not required but highly favorable
