Reservations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Reservations Manager to join our operations team. This full-time, exempt position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing the critical function of reservations within our organization. Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of the reservations process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery. Maintain and optimize reservation systems, ensuring data integrity and proper functionality at all times. Process guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitor reservation trends and occupancy patterns to maximize revenue opportunities and operational efficiency. Coordinate with other departments including front desk, sales, and housekeeping to ensure seamless guest experiences. Handle complex reservation requests and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and diplomacy. Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the reservations function. Generate regular reports on reservation activity, occupancy forecasts, and revenue performance. Train and mentor team members on reservation systems, policies, and best practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, room types, rates, and promotional offerings. Ensure compliance with all company policies, brand standards, and industry regulations. Respond promptly to reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online channels. Manage group bookings and coordinate with the sales team on group room blocks. Monitor and manage reservation inventory to prevent overbooking situations. Maintain professional relationships with travel partners, online travel agencies, and corporate clients.
Requirements
Minimum of three years of experience in reservations or front office operations within the hospitality industry. Proven track record of managing reservation systems and processes effectively. Strong proficiency with property management systems and reservation software platforms. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with composure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for reporting purposes. Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment. Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of revenue management principles and practices preferred. Fluency in English required; additional language skills are a plus.
