At Hawaii Foodservice Alliance (HFA), our drivers help keep Kauaʻi moving by delivering food products to stores, retailers, restaurants, and businesses across the island every day. Behind every successful route is a team that helps get the truck loaded, organized, and ready to go.

We are looking for dependable, hardworking Driver Helpers to join our Kauaʻi team. This is a hands-on role where you will support loading operations, ride along with our delivery drivers, and help unload and deliver products safely and efficiently at customer locations.

You’ll learn HFA’s delivery operation from the ground up, gain experience both in the warehouse and out on the road, and build skills that can help prepare you for future Box Truck, CDL, and Driver Advancement Program opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with loading pallets and loose perishable products onto delivery trucks using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
• Ride along with HFA delivery drivers on assigned Kauaʻi routes
• Help unload and move products safely from the truck to customer locations
• Organize and stage products according to delivery routes
• Help verify product counts and shipment accuracy before and during deliveries
• Assist with securing and organizing cargo for safe transportation
• Provide friendly, professional service while supporting drivers at customer locations
• Maintain a clean and organized loading and delivery area
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse teammates, and supervisors throughout the shift
• Follow company safety procedures, food safety standards, and warehouse expectations
• Assist with loader and warehouse responsibilities as needed

A Pathway Into Driving & Logistics

This role is a strong starting point for someone who wants to build a career in driving and logistics. Driver Helpers gain firsthand experience with HFA’s transportation operation while learning how routes, loading, deliveries, and customer service all work together.

Driver Helpers will initially spend significant time supporting loading and warehouse operations while also riding along with drivers and learning delivery routes. As you build experience, you may have the opportunity to work toward future Box Truck and CDL roles.

If you’re interested in HFA’s Driver Advancement Program (DAP), this role can also be a great pathway toward it. DAP is not automatic — teammates must apply and be accepted into the program. The experience gained in the Driver Helper role can help build a strong foundation for those interested in applying.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Driver’s License required
• Dependable and able to consistently report for a 3:00 AM start
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in cold temperatures, active warehouse environments, and outdoor delivery settings
• Comfortable getting in and out of a delivery truck and working a physically active shift
• Previous warehouse, delivery, stocking, merchandising, or other hands-on experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-minded
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
