Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Under general supervision, prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials

2. Plans design concepts by studying information and materials

3. Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

4. Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; and purchasing from vendors.

5. Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.

6. Completes projects by coordinating with clients, art services, printers, etc.

7. Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies.

8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Possession of an associates degree with a concentration in coursework in creative media, graphic design, or related field and 0-2 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience or equivalent training or experience.

2. Demonstrated ability using Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

3. Strong graphic design skills including layout skills and analytical skills.

4. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.

5. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.

6. Any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.

7. Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Desirable Qualifications

1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in creative media, graphic design, visual design, or art or related field and 0-2 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience or equivalent training or experience.

2. Experience with web design including user interface and user experience design

3. Experience with wireframing.

4. Experience with writing and creating copy.

5. Experience with usability testing.

6. Knowledge of business and data analytics.

7. Experience in website maintenance
