Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, conduct research and evaluate workshop topics and professional development

Responsible for organizing and implementing community meetings and professional development events.

Develops and creates written handouts, on-line web based and social media informational materials on community initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Assists in updating and managing content material on Wahine Coder website.

Responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing community initiative programs including online workshops and events
-
Formulates and initiates assessment protocols to evaluate the effectiveness of the community initiatives and outreach work.

Implements website updates as requested.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in business, education, or related field and 0 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for N/A; or equivalent education/training or experience.

Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify opportunities and in creating and conducting outreach and educational programs.
-
Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
-
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
-
Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
-
Any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.

Ability to travel independently to various geographical locations in a timely manner. Requirement may be fulfilled by a valid Hawai‘i Driver’s license (Class 3), comparable driver’s license, or other means of transportation which meets position needs.
Desirable Qualifications

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in business, education, or related field and 1-2 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for related to outreach and communication.

Knowledge of business and data analytics.

Demonstrated experience in successfully communicating with the general public.

Demonstrated experience in outreach education programs in Hawaii.

Experience with writing.
-
Experience in website maintenance, development, social media use in education.
