•Maintain astute and trusted leadership skills with a proven record of budgetary and business acumen and plant oversight;
•Possess strong fundraising experience and capabilities;
•Have energetic and compelling communication skills with the unique ability to cap:vate others with the School’s history, story and mission and a proficiency and drive to become the chief marketer of the School;
•Be the “authentic people-person” with an approachable manner to manage complex rela:onships among faculty, parents, students, and other stakeholders;
•Be humble, caring, sincere, genuine, confident and trustworthy;
•Possess an effec:ve knowledge of Maryknoll School, retain a strong understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion, and maintain an affinity for Hawaii’s unique culture and traditions;
•Maintain an ability to strike a right balance between a warm, compassionate and approachable demeanor with clear, honest, firm and decisive judgments and actions;
•Promote and instill judicious use of technology and innovation in schools;
•Build enrollment, which has declined in recent years due to the pandemic and attrition, and define the pace of growth, and work together with the Board and the School’s administra:on, faculty and staff to create a strategic and achievable rate of (re)growth;
•Understand the School’s tradi:ons and exemplify Noblesse Oblige in word, deed and action;
•Ensure continued improvements to campus facilities with strong support for the School’s mission and vision;
•Effectively solve problems, both independently and collaboratively;
•Recruit and retain strong administrators and quality teachers and staff;
•Lead by example, is respectful, and has the personal integrity to inspire respect of others; and
•Retain an active involvement and visible presence in the School and the local Honolulu community, and bring national and global perspectives of excellence in K-12 education.
