INDIGENOUS DESIGN RESEARCHER (Full-Time)

Indigenous Design Researcher
Co-create and work to develop a framework and process to guide, inspire, and center teams in indigenous ways of knowing and Native Hawaiian values. Deep interest and grounding in Native Hawaiian culture, practices, language, values, and ways of knowing. Some familiarity with working with communities, and with community engagement tools — user research methods, communications and marketing, and facilitation and leading groups. Ability to synthesize ideas, and ability to contribute ideas for how to engage and immerse teams in activities that allow immersion and understanding of indigenous values. Writing skills and organization skills are important for this position.

Ability to work well in a team, while also comfortable working independently. Comfort working remotely with access to own workspace and computer. Proficiency with project management tools like google drive, dropbox, slack. Proficiency with (and access to) new media software a plus: Adobe creative suite for graphic design, web design, sound editing, video editing. 

Position is Full time up to 40 hours/week. Primarily remote-work based. You need your own computer, a reliable internet connection, and to be reachable via phone.
