ACI Participant (Full Time) - XLR8HI, Graphic Designer

We are looking for a graphic designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. As Hawaii’s Entrepreneurship Center, we collaborate with and provide services to hundreds of local small businesses and startups. Our team is launching new initiatives such as events, workshops, and marketing campaigns almost on a weekly basis creating high demand for new designs and promotional materials. We also know that what got us here will not get us there, therefore we constantly look to improve and adjust our company branding and image. We are looking for an individual with great imagination to help us create engaging designs for our online and offline efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop graphics and layouts for marketing and advertising materials, social media, corporate branding, and website. 

• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.

• Research design trends and proactively provide innovative ideas for design solutions in support of objectives and initiatives

• Work and collaborate with other team members including copywriters and management to produce final design, marketing and promotional campaigns, etc.

• Assist with other graphic designs as needed

Skills and Qualifications

• Creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. 

• Highly skilled in the use of Adobe design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and other design software such as Canva

• Solid understanding of branding, design theory and print production process

• Must be able to take creative criticism and refine designs incorporating outside feedback

• Photography experience or knowledge is a plus, but not required

• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)

• A keen eye for aesthetics and details

• Excellent communication skills
