GIFT STORE MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

REPORTS TO: Business Manager

 

SUPERVISES: Oversees Gift Store operations. Co-ordinates Gift Store Volunteers. No direct paid subordinates.

 

SCOPE: Maintains Gift Store: inventory; sales; volunteers; POS system; record keeping; petty cash fund; sales receipts; equipment; credit card machines; budgeting; and over-all maintenance of gift store facilities.

 

AREAS OF

RESPONSIBILITY: Assists customers in purchasing of goods in Gift Store

Recording and entering inventory on POS system

Recording sales and profits

Coordinate, recruit and train volunteers to assist in the Gift Store

Handling cash transactions, including cash, checks and credit cards

Creates schedules and calendars

Orders and maintains inventory

Oversee Gift Store facilities

Assists with budget

Create and update procedural manual

Market and promote Gift Store ministry and its products

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

1. Bookkeeping

a) Enters and records all inventory

b) Orders, verifies and approves inventory payment

c) Balances weekly change fund, cash drawer and reports

d) Batches and closes credit card receipts

e) Reconciles weekly deposits to Money Counters

f) Records Volunteer Hours

g) Submit timesheet bi-weekly

h) Drop/Deposit weekend receipts in Sacristy safe

 

2. Maintenance of Records

a) Inputs POS information

b) Print and records daily and monthly reports

c) Keeps files

 

3. Coordinating Volunteer Activities

a) Prepares and updates procedures

b) Recruits volunteers for administrative duties

c) Trains, orientates and supervises volunteer activities

d) Creates schedules and calendars got Gift Store hours and volunteers
