Kona Brewing Hawaii, has an immediate opening for a Prep Cook in Kona.
Specific job duties include:
Adheres to proper hygiene
Adheres to proper food handling procedures
Ensures overall sanitation of kitchen areas including cleaning schedule is completed
Preps food
Maintains par levels of inventory
Keeps waste to a minimum
Maintains kitchen equipment in good order
Cleanliness of dishes, silverware, and kitchen equipment.
Cleanliness of kitchen during all working hours.
Attendance required per company policy.
Position requirements:
Supports the Company’s Statement of Purpose and Values
Perform duties in accordance with the company safety policies and procedures
Responsibility
1+ years of experience cooking in a fast paced commercial kitchen
Able to multi-task
Works well independently and cooperatively in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Strong quality control skills
Dependable
Adaptable / flexible
Good knife skills, basic sauce and prep knowledge
Knowledge of FIFO system
Physical demands include - lifting, carrying, standing, bending, and reaching
Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shift
