Assistant Teacher for St Philomena ELC

Goal: The Assistant Teacher works with the classroom teacher to provide assistance in the implementation of the curriculum

Responsibilities:

· Helps the teacher with curriculum implantation

· Classroom preparation

· Assists in the supervision of students and maintain an environment of safety and security

· Serves food and cleans up after service is completed

Qualifications:

· Must have a basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic School philosophy, goals and objectives

· Must have a basic understanding of child development and skills necessary to relate to the students

· Must be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing

· Must be able to use and understand appropriate child discipline techniques

· Team Player

· Must have a CDA or AA in Early Childhood

· Positive references and recommendations

· Background check and health clearance

Hours: 7am – 2:45pm (full time)
