The Open for Business Program (“OFB”) is a newly created program of the YWCA of O`ahu. The program will provide technical assistance to women entrepreneurs, nascent and established, and job-training skills to workers. The assistance and training will focus on the area of Ecommerce.  The program shall also provide training and other forms of support, such as coaching and networking to businesses and individuals, consistent with the mission and objectives of the YWCA of O`ahu. The OFB program is a multi-discipline program involving the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership (“MCBL”) the YWCA Oahu Dress For Success Program (“DFS”) and the Management Information Systems (“MIS”) department.

 

The Program Technology Coordinator supports the OFB program as a shared resource between MCBL, DFS and MIS. The Technology coordinator works to achieve operational program objectives by contributing technical know-how, while also resolving problems; completing audits; supporting contractors, identifying trends; determining system improvements. The coordinator works closely with other program staff to ensure the program’s mission stays on track.

 

Essential Duties:

·        Provides upkeep to the Shop Small Hawaii Digital Marketplace and Website

·        Supports onboarding of vendors to the website

·        Provides upkeep to the DFS Shopify – ywca.com eCommerce website and DFS Website.

·        Oversees technical matters and monitor the progress of the OFB program

·        Maintains open communication of program technical activities to program stakeholders.

·        Manages event logistics to include facilities, event set-up, audio/visual, wi-fi, etc.

·        Analyzes program events and communicates problems and potential solutions to Management.

·        Works with other members of the organization in support of program goals.

·        Coordinates work with the Kokokahi Events coordinator, Facilities and Maintenance staff members

·        During program down-times, the Technology Coordinator will help with Agency help-desk inquiries.

 

 

Working Conditions

·        The primary location for this position is on the YWCA O’ahu Kokokahi campus in Kaneohe.

·        Work performed in non-air conditioned indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as air-conditioned offices.

·        Must be able to work independently, and occasionally travel to other locations on O’ahu.

·        Occasional evening and weekend work, as required to meet the needs of clients.

·        Equipment use: Telephone, computer, photocopier, calculator, handheld tools

·        Mental demands: Requires ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Attention to detail essential for data entry and administrative tasks.  Ability to function well in a fast-paced work environment.

·        Physical Demands:  Occasionally prolonged periods of sitting and using the computer. Lifting equipment and re-arranging furniture occasionally for training and events.

 

 

Qualifications

·        Candidate should possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills.

·        Skilled in project support and implementation, with experience in successfully supporting complex projects that involve multiple participants to achieve results.

·        Solid working knowledge in all required software and platforms used in the OFB program

·        Able to work and communicate with diverse groups of people including program participants, contracted vendors, volunteers, the public and other staff.

·        Ability to learn new systems, programs and skills in a self-directed manner and support end user education

·        Ability to travel to other YWCA locations, as needed.

 

Education and Experience

·        E-commerce platform management, including Google analytics, POS and fulfillment processes

·        Experience in WordPress and Shopify. Simple html coding is ideal.

·        Basic electrical experience a plus

·        Technical capability with proficiency in Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet tools.

·        Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience.

·        Prior Help Desk, User management, A+ certification, or other problem-solving experience is a plus

 

Oversight and Accountability
The Program Technology Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Manager of MIS.

 

Compensation
This is a full-time/exempt position as an employee of the YWCA Oahu and YWCA benefits commensurate with qualifications.
