The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for managing and implementing the YWCA Oahu’s external communications. As well as creating the mission aligned training and tools that enable staff and volunteers to communicate the value of the YWCA to members and the community.

Plays an integral role in the development and implementation of all creative, messaging, promotions, and media opportunities to reach and influence key market segments such as prospects, donors, and members. Dedicated to serving YWCA Oahu’s mission.

 

Oversee write and design YWCA communication materials (press releasees, newsletter, annual report, etc. and ensure all communication messages are reviewed for accuracy, marketing effectiveness, fundraising strategy, and adherence to YWCA  brand guidelines.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job supervises the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at this time.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING: 

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, or other related visual arts, preferred. Associate degree and equivalent experience also welcome

 

EXPERIENCE: 

3-6 years’ experience in marketing materials production, and digital communications. Experience providing editorial oversight including day-to-day management of external facing content. Design, development and the direct management of other designers, activities, and communications. Good understanding of applications facilitating online user engagement and contribution/sharing of user-generated content. Strong ties to businesses within the Hawai'i community is helpful.
