Position Overview: As a Food Service Worker at Oahu Care Facility, you will play a crucial role in our Food Service Department by performing a variety of essential tasks. Your main responsibilities will include transporting, sanitizing, storing, delivering, custodial, and service functions to ensure the seamless operation of our food service in a long-term care setting. Shift is 6am-2:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and assist in serving meals and snacks to residents in a timely and respectful manner.
Ensure all food service equipment is properly sanitized and stored to prevent cross-contamination.
Follow all safe food service practices and precautions to maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety.
Collaborate with the kitchen and dietary staff to coordinate efficient meal delivery and service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in food storage areas, refrigerators, and serving carts.
Adhere to established protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of food items.
Assist with custodial duties related to food service areas as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred.
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects.
