We are seeking experienced CDL A Drivers looking to grow with us! As a Driver at HFA, you will use company trucks to travel between customer accounts and safely delivery and pick up perishable products. The ideal candidate is someone who is a team player and passionate about providing great customer satisfaction. Must maintain a valid Driver’s License, PUC Medical Certificate, and clean driving record.

Position based in Keaau. Must be able to work weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a CDL A tractor to pick up and deliver containers to and from ports, yards, and customer locations.
  • Transport containers in compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Complete in-gating and out-gating processes at ports and container yards, inclyding verification of container numbers, seals, and condition. 
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Participate in periodic and annual staff training in food safety, employee safety and operational programs.
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA regulations and commercial driving requirements as per DOT.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL License
  • Complete PUC medical requirements
  • Clean and verifiable driving history
  • Flexibility to work various schedules a must
  • Knowledge of local and heavy weight routes around Big Island
  • Experience driving 40-45-foot containers
  • Experience working in tight spaces
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, port representatives
  • Ability to obtain TWIC credential
