Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a client-facing role, enjoys working across multiple organizations, and wants exposure to a variety of advisory and accounting services. Responsibilities:
  • Deliver excellent client service and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Perform monthly closings and produce timely financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Monitor client expenses, comparing to budgets and prior periods.
  • Prepare and file client Hawaii general excise tax returns.
  • Provide information to client’s external tax accountants and auditors, as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect the organization’s values.
  • Contribute to a positive company culture.
  • Create and update management reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills & Abilities:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Associate’s degree with equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Experience & Knowledge:
  • 3–4 years accounting experience, ideally with multi-client exposure.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Prior experience with nonprofits is a plus.
  • Client-facing experience is preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software preferred.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work additional hours or weekends as needed.
  • Strong adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Salary: Starting at $65,000, depending on experience
