Waialae Country Club is a private membership club, which provides its members with a championship golf course, dining services, health/recreational facilities and hosts the PGA Tour's Sony Open in Hawaii. Waialae Country Club is recognized as a Platinum Club of America, Honorable Mention Platinum Club of the World and is designated as a Distinguished Club with ELITE status by BoardRoom Magazine.
Position: Line Cook Status: Full-Time (30+ hours per week); Part-Time (20-29 hours per week) Department: Kitchen Reports to: Executive Chef/Sous Chef Responsibilities:
Prepares and cooks meals for members and guests.
Maintains established food quality standards and consistency of menu items.
Sets up workstation, maintains cleanliness of work area, and monitors food temperatures.
Adheres to state sanitation standards.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Minimum 6 months of related work experience.
Must have excellent knife skills.
Must have familiarity with duties in all areas of the kitchen and the ability to multi-task.
Must have knowledge of culinary terminology and understanding of the fundamentals of cooking.
Formal culinary education is preferred.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
